Osmosis
  1. 1:  movement of a solvent (such as water) through a semipermeable membrane (as of a living cell) into a solution of higher solute concentration that tends to equalize the concentrations of solute on the two sides of the membrane

2:  a process of absorption or diffusion suggestive of the flow of osmotic action; especially :  a usually effortless often unconscious assimilation

Change Room: Next to Nothing

Music by Joep Beving, An Amalgamation Waltz 1839

‘External objects furnish the mind with the ideas of sensible qualities, which are all those different perceptions they produce in us: and the mind furnishes the understanding with ideas of its own operations.’

‘…External, material things, as objects of sensation; and the operations of our own minds within, as the objects of reflection… the only originals, from whence all our ideas take their beginnings.’

John Locke, Of the Abuse of Words
